NFL Thru the Eyes of Others

Dear readers, I keep hoping that Mr. X will chime in on this issue but I’ve heard that he has been having hurricane issues; whether that means the kind in Puerto Rico or the local tavern, I’m not sure. Anyway, I saw a few things on Facebook and elsewhere that reflect how I feel so I thought I would post them.

Those who make the decisions in on Madison Avenue are giving the powers that be in the NFL’s crystal palace an opportunity to rectify the situation, but if things don’t change and the advertisers start feeling the impact on their bottom line, there will be some changes made in how a few key players in the marketing world shell out their revenue. That is one thing that will get the attention of the NFL.

Advertisers To NFL And Its Players: Clean Up Your Act. Or Else…

The National Football League’s more muted approach in recent days to responding to attacks from President Donald Trump followed a tense meeting last week in which several owners argued the league’s combative stance was unproductive, according to three people familiar with the meeting.

However, multiple owners at the meeting said they needed to avoid the likely repercussions of a lingering feud with the president over an issue that resonated with many fans. While the league didn’t issue a directive and there were no reports of owners forbidding players from protesting, several clubs took steps to reduce tensions in the days that followed the meeting.

NFL Owners Clashed in Private Over Protests

In poll after poll, Americans have expressed their disapproval of NFL players who refuse to stand for the national anthem as a form of protest.

In a CBS poll, 52 percent of respondents said they strongly or somewhat disapprove of players kneeling during the anthem. Thirty-eight percent said they strongly or somewhat approve, and nine percent wouldn’t say.

And an ESPN poll showed Americans disapprove of the protests by 51 to 39 percent.

A full 55 percent of Fox News poll respondents said it was inappropriate, compared with 41 percent who said it’s appropriate.

CNN asked, “Do you think athletes who protest by kneeling during the national anthem are doing the right thing or the wrong thing to express their political opinion?” Forty-nine percent of respondents said players are doing the wrong thing. Just 43 percent said they’re doing the right thing, and eight percent said they didn’t know.

Hot Air reports that NFL owners have seen a surge in requests for ticket refunds due to the national anthem controversy.

Should ‘King of Beers’ dump NFL?

“The National Football League and its owners have shown their fans and marketing partners that they do not have a comprehensive policy to ensure that players stand and show respect for America and our flag during the playing of the national anthem,” Steve Kalafer said in a statement. “We have cancelled all of our NFL advertising on the Optimum and Infinity (cable) networks.”

How to Make EGUSD Eat Their Words

In our last installment, we quoted the email from the Elk Grove Joint Unified School District which is presented again for your reference:

…I would expect that some students and staff members will elect to exercise their right to freedom of expression in a variety of manners. Such expressions could include sitting or kneeling during patriotic observances, including the Pledge of Allegiance or the National Anthem. While these are two of the most common ways people express themselves, I always marvel at the creativity of our students and staff and would not be surprised if they came up with other methods to express themselves.

Please do not overact or take disciplinary actions in response to such expressions. Site leaders should confirm this with staff, including off campus coaches, to ensure all staff understand that no punitive actions are to be taken against students or staff participating in an act of expression that does not interfere with the safe and orderly running of our schools or school sponsored events.

OK, so we have established the following from the school district:
• The District expects students and staff to “exercise their right to freedom of expression”
• Kneeling is permissible before school events
• District employees are not to interfere
• District employees may also participate
• No punitive action shall be taken against staff or students as long as it “does not interfere with the safe and orderly running of our schools or school sponsored events.”
• Other as yet unanticipated methods may be used for people to express themselves

Ladies and gentlemen of the audience let’s put the district to the test, from now on both coaches and players have been given a blank check to pray on the field before any school sponsored event and furthermore, they have been promised that the district will take no retribution against them as long as it does not interfere with event safety.

NFL Hell

The cancer that began propagating in the NFL last year by currently unemployed San Francisco Forty-niner Colin Kaepernick has become a plague upon the nation because the National Football League failed to act in a proper manner. Sorry but when an employee is at work and wearing the uniform of his company, he is not free to say and do whatever he wants.  This myth of an unrestricted right to free speech is a bald-faced lie.

Examples:

• Can a theater worker (we are limiting this discussion to speech by employees) shout “Fire” in the middle of the movie?
• Can you call the White House and say “I want to kill the President” and nothing will happen to you?
• Can you call your local school and threaten to shoot all the dumb (insert racial or ethnic group here) and not get paid a visit by the SWAT Team?
• Can your doctor tell you that you have six months to live and you aren’t really sick?
• While at work can I call a retired person and tell them to pay their bill or we will garnish their bank account and retirement because they owe us money? (FYI we can’t do either.)
• Can an NFL player celebrate in the end zone by mooning the crowd and not be fined?

Clearly, a right of speech is not unlimited. When you—as an employee or representative of a group—say or do something, it reflects not just upon your conduct but that of your employer.

Don’t believe me, try it. I doubt any of the above examples would be defended by an employer anywhere. However, even if the employee lost their job as a result, the employer would likely still be writing a check to someone once the lawyers got done with him.

So why is it OK to have a stupid protest during the National Anthem to defend the rights of people that say it’s ok to kill policemen because they are bad and only want to kill people?

Kaepernick started to protest the National Anthem for this very reason. He wants black people to have a special right to not have to obey policemen when police have drawn their weapons in the performance of their duties. Sorry, Kap but that’s what lawyers are for. If you won’t obey an order from a policeman, especially when their weapon is drawn, then you deserve to be shot like a mad dog.

This isn’t a racial issue, its common sense that law abiding people are expected to behave this way; period.

On Friday, President Trump said what most of us feel about this issue,
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘get that son of a bitch off the field now. Out. Out. He’s fired!’”
Link: Trump SOB quote

My answer is “hell yes” that should have happened to Kaepernick a year and a half ago.

Because the NFL failed to act responsibly, this has been politicized by the Left as another front of their “Operation Chaos” to try to bring down Trump. Sorry dudes but Trump is right.

The movement is now spreading to other sports venues.

In the spirit of the times and not content to keep their mouths shut or do the right thing, the Elk Grove Join Unified School District has waded into the fray as well. This email was sent to employees of the District earlier today.

The purpose of this communication is twofold. First, thank you for all you do to support our students and your fellow colleagues. Your efforts are recognized and appreciated. Second, given recent events, I would expect that some students and staff members will elect to exercise their right to freedom of expression in a variety of manners.

Related Press Release is Here

Please note what a crock of crap this is. What the District should have said was:

We respect our country and what it stands for. Our nation is not perfect but it’s the best country on the planet. When a student is representing our school at any activity, they shall not politicize the event by disrespecting our flag or anthem. Many millions have fought and died so that you could be here today. The things that united us are bigger that those issues that divide us. Lasting change is made by working thru the system not advocating its overthrow. We do not condone any course of action that advocates the murder of law enforcement in the performance of their duties. We have a zero tolerance for interjecting politics into patriotic expressions. School activities—including athletic events—are political free zones.

Please note that the District employs their own police force, I could argue that the District’s position endangers both staff and students in an effort to score cheap political points.  This is the second time in recent months that the District has waded into high profile political issues to score cheap points to prove they are politically correct enough for California.

Hey EGUSD, just so you know, I now have a reason not to give money to any of your schools for fundraisers—especially for the support of athletic teams.

Laura Ingraham wrote a book that fits this situation; “Shut up and sing”.

Or if you rather, Tim Hawkins did a version of Imagine:

Imagine all the actors
the musicians too
would stick to acting and singing
with no political views.

Bottom line is athletes should shut up and play ball. If America is so bad try moving to Iraq (or some other third world cesspool) and being on their soccer team. In the good ole days, their players were tortured when they lost.

Our guys get paid millions for playing a stupid game. The ungrateful snowflakes should respect the opportunity given to them just because they live in this country. If they want to do something meaningful how about cancelling a practice and going to Texas, Florida, or Puerto Rico and helping folks that appreciate it? Try uniting us and not dividing, you might be surprised how many folks will support you.

Flood Insurance=Government Insanity

For us in the real world, the pop culture definition of insanity comes to mind when we look at articles like on that recently appeared in the free side of the Wall Street Journal.

The headline says it all:

One House, 22 Floods: Repeated Claims Drain Federal Insurance Program

Brian Harmon had just finished spending over $300,000 to fix his home in Kingwood, Texas, when Hurricane Harvey sent floodwaters “completely over the roof.”

The six-bedroom house, which has an indoor swimming pool, sits along the San Jacinto River. It has flooded 22 times since 1979, making it one of the most flood damaged properties in the country.

Between 1979 and 2015, government records show the federal flood insurance program paid out more than $1.8 million to rebuild the house—a property that Mr. Harmon figured was worth $600,000 to $800,000 before Harvey hit late last month.

Homes and other properties with repetitive flood losses account for just 2% of the roughly 1.5 million properties that currently have flood insurance, according to government estimates. But such properties have accounted for about 30% of flood claims paid over the program’s history.

The article goes on to describe government’s unwillingness and inability to purchase such properties and prevent them from being rebuilt. It does mention that folks are reluctant to sell instead of rebuild. You may have a right to build on your own property but why do folks have an absolute right to be repeatedly bailed-out of subsequent problems by other taxpayers? What happened to fool me once…?

Oh, the government flood insurance program was 25 billion in the hole before the hurricanes this month. Yet another example of why big government doesn’t work.

Dear readers, please take these hurricanes and other such disasters very sober mindedly because when our turn comes in California, what you’ve seen elsewhere could be a picnic compared to what we will experience here. If you thought that no rebar in the Oroville dam spillway was the only shortcut government has allowed in California then you are a fool. I think our turn is coming soon.

Rocklin Parents Too Little, Too Late

The charter school in Rocklin held a board meeting last night about the so-call transgender five year old. I submit to you that a normal five year old doesn’t have a clue about sexuality other than children their age are either boys or girls. This is some perverted idea that the child’s parents are forcing on this poor kid because they are angry at God and want to punish someone made in His image. Of course they wrap their warped ideas into a claim of compassion. Remember that the Scripture says “the compassion of the wicked is cruelty”.

As you read the news story you get three messages:

First, what happened in this classroom is legal and has the backing of the State of California and the education establishment.

The book, according to the school, was not only age appropriate, but part of the California Department of Education’s recommended reading list and was given to the teacher by a transgender student in the process of transitioning.

Second, some parents don’t like it

“I want to be the one that teaches my kids about these controversial issues, not the school, I know my kids best,” said one parent speaking out during public comment.

“When we shun the rights of parents, we go from education to indoctrination,” said one father.

Many parents have wanted to not have their children be placed in the same classroom as transgender children and were asking the board for a chance to opt out. But the district says that’s against the law and is discrimination towards a protected class.

Three, the school is not sorry and will not change

Since the incident, the district has held a number of talks with parents, faith leaders, and other school districts, and administrators offered a series of recommendations that were being discussed. The main recommendations were to affirm the literature policy and to make a change in the parent handbook that would suggest that the school will “endeavor” to notify parents about controversial topics being discussed in class.

Since the incident, at least 14 families have pulled their children from the school. Superintendent Robin Stout says she’s expecting more people to withdraw. But also adds that there are more than 1,000 families on their academy waitlist.

Link: KOVR-TV News Story

If you recall, the school had hired a public relations firm after the incident back in June. The PR firm was to help the school manage the parents so they would accept that it was OK to expose their children to this perverse behavior.

I find it ironic that the other news story yesterday was concerning a 21 years old student that followed the teachings of the homosexual lobby that was shot by campus police. He was called mentally ill for claiming to be what California Senator Mark Leno wants the rest of us to accept as normal.

Scout Schultz, the now-deceased assailant, was a 21-year-old student who suffered from gender identity disorder (or, as it has now been relabeled, gender dysphoria). He was also the past president of the Georgia Tech Campus Pride Alliance.

Schultz’s biography on the Alliance website quoted Schultz as saying: “I’m bisexual, nonbinary, and intersex … when I’m not running Pride or doing classwork I mostly play D&D and try to be politically active.”

His preferred pronouns were “they” and “their” rather than “he” and “his.” His last words prior to his demise by police-assisted suicide were “Shoot me” as he advanced on retreating police while holding a knife.

Link: WND story

… Aren’t these the same values that the Rocklin charter school is forcing on parents as the new normal? So is transgenderism “normal” or mental illness?

Trump Dumps Republicans

Only idiots like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell couldn’t see this coming. President Trump is now working with Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer to get parts of his severely gridlocked agenda back on track. Yes, the author of The Art of the Deal is beginning to school the political class on how to actually get stuff done in Washington. Specifically, Trump is making a deal with Democrats on the debt ceiling to get parts of what he wants thru the Legislative branch.

Having cut a deal with Democrats for help with the debt ceiling, will Trump seek a deal with Democrats on amnesty for the “Dreamers,” in return for funding for border security? Trump seemed to be signaling receptivity to the idea this week.

Will he give up on free-trade Republicans to work with Democrats to protect U.S. jobs and businesses from predator traders like China?

Will he cut a deal with Hill Democrats on which infrastructure projects should be funded first? Will he seek out compromise with Democrats on whose taxes should be cut and whose retained?

We could be looking at a seismic shift in national politics, with Trump looking to centrist and bipartisan coalitions to achieve as much of his agenda as he can. He could collaborate with Federalist Society Republicans on justices and with economic-nationalist Democrats on tariffs.

—Patrick J. Buchanan

Not since Ronald Reagan was President has anyone purposely had to make it a practice of reaching across the political aisle to get their agenda adopted on a large scale. Likewise, Reagan bypassed to media and went to the American people and Trump is following a similar model.  But Trump is even more brilliant than that because by openly working with the Democrat Leadership and actually getting substantive things accomplished he is making it virtually impossible for anyone to run against him next time. Why? Because if Democrats are working with him, how can they campaign against him as a bad guy? They are standing with him at all the photo ops at the White House.

Meanwhile, Congressional Republicans are baffled and extruding brilliance such as this:

“Nobody does policy better than Speaker Ryan, but we do have to transition to the place where it’s not just about vision-casting, but it’s about execution,” said Rep. Mark Walker, R-N.C., chairman of the conservative House Republican Study Committee. “I think with any coach, team, business or ministry, whatever it may be, I think the ones calling the shots have to bear some of the responsibility.”

Ryan’s already-shaky status with GOP colleagues takes another hit

Radio talk show host Laura Ingraham puts it more bluntly.

Conservative radio host and Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham says Republicans “are finished” if they don’t get tax reform done quickly.

“He wants to be a popular president. He’s a conservative populist. That means at times, if Republicans don’t deliver legislation that he can sign on the critical matters that he campaigned on, he’s going to look to move the ball down the field with another set of players,” said Ingraham to host Sean Hannity.

“If they do not get tax reform done, they are done. They are finished.  Paul Ryan came out today and had an extra special spring in his step on tax reform. It’s funny what Trump working with the Democrats will do to the Republicans.”

Laura Ingraham: Republicans ‘are finished’ if they don’t get tax reform done

If Trump can get things done building coalitions then great, but I still say that he will be working to get new faces elected to Congress and incumbents will not be given a free pass to be sent back to Washington. Look for him to be reshaping the Republican Party and draining that swamp too. It will not get the media coverage that it deserves until it has happened but I’m confident that it’s in the works. Unlike Obama, Trump knows that in order to keep his accomplishments in tact long after he leaves office, he needs to get them thru the Congress not just issue Executive Orders that can be rescinded at a whim.

President Donald J. Trump Proclaims Sept 3, 2017 a National Day of Prayer

The CRA may not like this but…

President Donald J. Trump Proclaims September 3, 2017, as a National Day of Prayer for the Victims of Hurricane Harvey and for our National Response and Recovery Efforts

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim September 3, 2017, as a National Day of Prayer for the Victims of Hurricane Harvey and for our National Response and Recovery Efforts.  We give thanks for the generosity and goodness of all those who have responded to the needs of their fellow Americans.  I urge Americans of all faiths and religious traditions and backgrounds to offer prayers today for all those harmed by Hurricane Harvey, including people who have lost family members or been injured, those who have lost homes or other property, and our first responders, law enforcement officers, military personnel, and medical professionals leading the response and recovery efforts.  Each of us, in our own way, may call upon our God for strength and comfort during this difficult time.  I call on all Americans and houses of worship throughout the Nation to join in one voice of prayer, as we seek to uplift one another and assist those suffering from the consequences of this terrible storm.

They’re Coming for You

Not content to diminish my marriage and those who believe that marriage should be between one man and a woman (a belief that has served humanity just fine since The Garden); the crazy homosexuals are continuing their campaign against God and his ordained spheres of government. For those that needing a refresher, these are self-government, the family, church, and civil government. As you know, they are using a myriad of different ways to dismantle Western Culture.

Two news stories in the last week need to be brought to your attention. Each is amazing in its own way and should scare the hell out of you once you understand the implications. The tyranny of the State is being brought to bear on law abiding citizens to crush them and their values. The “bitter clingers” as President Obama once called us are being targeted for extermination.  California is rapidly descending into a dystopian society where evil is good and good is called criminal conduct.

Before I introduce the two news stories, it’s important that you understand the attitude of legislators in California. They are not bound by conscience or their sense of duty as legislators who swore an oath to follow the Constitution; like Rod Serling’s Twilight Zone, they are bound “only by their imaginations” as to what they can do. Instead of doing what is right, their attitude is if you don’t like what we do, take it to court or the ballot initiative process and try to overturn it. Go ahead, we dare you!

Theirs is not the attitude of a public servant but the arrogance of an elite ruling class deciding what is best for the unwashed masses.

Rocklin Kindergarten
This article appeared in the Sacramento Bee several days ago.
It is all over the internet now.
A reprint of the Bee article from the Miami Herald can be found here.

Parental rights are under fire once again, this time at a Sacramento-area charter school. A kindergarten teacher at Rocklin Academy Gateway recently staged a “transition ceremony” for a gender-dysphoric student in her class, introducing him to other students as a boy before he changed into a dress and announced his new, female name.

Students were instructed to use that new name going forward. The teacher also gave a lesson about transgenderism to the entire class, using two books not included in the school’s curriculum — I Am Jazz and Red: A Crayon’s Story, both children’s books meant to affirm the idea that transgender identities should be accepted as reality.

National Review

On its face, its offensive to me as a human being, a Christian, and a parent but as usual, the most important aspect of the story is what was not mentioned in it.

Upset parents called the school and met with administrators. They protested at a June board meeting. Two families pulled their kids from school. The issue became so heated that the district hired a public relations firm to help with the fallout.

– Sac Bee

Folks the parents in this story offended by the teacher’s conduct have both my sympathy and support but the fact is that what the child and the teacher did is the law of the land in California and if you don’t like it, the Legislature says you’re a bigot and a homophobe. The law says that you must accept this transgender crap as a valid lifestyle. The government is forcing these perverted values upon us.

Parents can only opt their children out of sex education, which does not include discussion on gender, sexual orientation or family life, according to the California Education Code.

–Sac Bee

Such a law seers the conscience of young children and is irreversibly harmful to their development.

Remember when I talked in a previous blog about “the compassion of the wicked is cruelty ”?

This is all done in the name of compassion, diversity, and inclusion.

In a just world,  the child forced to wear a dress should have been removed from their parents on the grounds of child cruelty and the parents should be treated for mental illness but in a world where wrong is right, soon the reverse will be true. The Person with traditional values will soon have their children removed and be punished by the State.

Gender and Pronouns
This next is a California bill presumable concerned with the care of the elderly that happen to be transgender. If a caregiver uses the wrong pronoun to describe the person, the caregiver—typically paid at or near minimum wage—could be thrown into jail for offensive speech. If you think this is a simple situation think again. The Sith Lord says Canada recognizes 26 different genders in their laws. How would you like to keep track of that? Well you may soon have to.

Tucker Carlson debated a Democratic strategist who supports a California bill that would suggest jail time for elder care workers who “willfully” misuse pronouns when referring to transgender residents.

“It doesn’t sound very American,” Carlson said. “You go to jail if you say something someone doesn’t want you to say.”

Carlson said Biro was ignoring the principle of free speech for political reasons.

“You can be put in prison for saying what you think is true,” he said of the bill. “This bill criminalizes speech.”

“If you use the wrong pronoun, you can be put in jail. That’s grotesque.”

‘This Criminalizes Speech’: Tucker Battles Dem on Bill to Jail People Who Misuse Transgender Pronouns

Oh, this legislation passed the California Senate back in May and was passed by the Assembly Judiciary Committee. It will soon be up for a final vote in the Assembly. What will former Jesuit Seminary candidate Jerry Brown do when it lands on his desk?

Link: SB-219 Long-term care facilities

The moral of this story is that the new frontier for attacking culture will be speech. If you accidentally say something wrong you can go to jail but what if your minister says it in church on purpose? What if I call something like this law or the incident in Rocklin sinful? Clearly that is also about to get criminalized here in the once Golden State.

Say the “wrong thing” to your children (as defined by some government bureaucrat) and you could soon be found in violation of the law. Homeschool parents this means you too. In Canada, children are being taken from parents by the CPS types because parents aren’t teaching this crap to their children at home. Do you really think California is far behind? I say again, this is already the law in Canada.

I’m warning you that these black hearted and mentally perverted folks have zero tolerance for opposition. They will not rest until all opposition is crushed not just in California but throughout the nation. We are just a few years behind Canada and a few years ahead of the other 49 states.

Your only hope may rest in a guy with a bad hairdo and grumpy attitude on his Twitter account.

Elk Grove Councilman Steve Detrick Wades Halfcocked into Charlottesville

I have been trying to avoid commenting on the series of protests in Charlottesville, San Francisco, Berkeley and other places but after seeing the Facebook post (below) by Elk Grove City Council Member Steve Detrick  I finally decided to jump into this issue. Why? Was I afraid to touch the third-rail of race in post Obama America? No.

In my view, the correct political view of this is that it is an internal struggle amongst Democrats.  White supremacy, the KKK, eugenics, and the Confederate statues are all classic institutions of the Democrat Party. These forefathers of the modern Democrat Party are the guys that laid the foundation that gave us “the New Deal” but they have fallen out of favor with the younger generation. Why? Because the youth of America think all these shameful sins of our nation were caused by Republicans. That’s not history, its history revisionism on display. Republicans freed the slaves and were instrumental in passing the 1964 voting rights act but Democrats took the credit. Oh, don’t forget Internment, we got that from Democrats too. I won’t say there weren’t some Republicans involved in these “national sins” but the core leaders were devout believers in the Democrat way. See Dinesh D’Souza’s Hillary’s America

Enter Steve Detrick. I know Steve was trying to say what he thinks people want to hear but frankly its nonsense. First here is the statement in its entirety.

Vice Mayor Steven M Detrick’s personal statement in the days since the ugly and tragic events in Charlottesville.

In the days since the ugly and tragic events in Charlottesville, leaders from around the country and across the political spectrum have come together in denouncing the hate and violence of the Nazi, KKK, Confederate and white supremacist movements. We must do more than just mourn the death of Heather Heyer. Here in Elk Grove, we make it clear that those that espouse violence and genocide against African Americans, Muslims, Sikhs, Latinos, Asians, the Jewish community, LGBTQ or any other community are not welcome in our city nor anywhere in our nation.

President Trump spoke about Charlottesville, saying that some of the bigoted marchers were ‘fine people’ along with other equivocal comments. His words have been used by racist terror groups to show that they have support across the country. I say without hesitation that President Trump was wrong in giving safe harbor to bigots. He should have said clearly that marching on the side of the Nazi, KKK, Confederates and white supremacists is a despicable act intended to terrorize communities. Never let it be said that the people of Elk Grove remained silent against hate.

Steven M. Detrick
Vice Mayor
City of Elk Grove, CA

First off, Detrick denounces only one side of this protest. Sorry, but this isn’t my first experience with protests and activism. I would be willing to bet him the standard Tom Sullivan wager—a meal at a local fast food drive-thru of his choice—that the white supremacist folks were outnumbered at least twenty to one. Their opposition included Black Lives Matter and other likeminded folks. These guys are every bit as racist and full of hate as the KKK and in my mind bigger hypocrites because they don’t have a problem with the genocide of black children perpetuated by Planned Parenthood and their fellow travelers in the modern eugenics movement. So really, only some black lives matter (theirs), not all lives.

This brings me to Detrick’s criticism of President Trump. “President Trump spoke about Charlottesville, saying that some of the bigoted marchers were ‘fine people’ along with other equivocal comments.”

Steve, there are racists in both groups of protesters.

Also, in the mix, likely on the side of the BLM folks were regular people—probably from local colleges and the like that also were protesting against the KKK. These were Trump’s “fine people”. They were dupes or mislead as to the purpose of the rally. Rank-and–file Democrats—if you wish. Trump got plenty of Democrat votes and regardless of their registration, he views them as “fine people”.

On the right, the police’s “wait-and-see” approach was perceived as a conspiracy: Cops allowed violence to break out so they would have an excuse to shut down the rally. That claim was bolstered by Virginia’s ACLU chapter, which tweeted that the police stood “passively by, seemingly waiting for violence to take place, so that they’d have grounds to declare ‘unlawful assembly.’”

White supremacists are casting themselves as police victims in the wake of Charlottesville

The organizer of the so-called white supremacists was a democrat activist that up until the November election was an Obama supporter and advocate for nationalized healthcare.
Report: Charlottesville Racist Leader Was Former Occupy Activist, Obama Supporter

This whole thing was a setup and everyone did their part as scripted. Including some dumb hick being provoked into harming others.

This is the same playbook as Occupy Wall Street and every other protest. Quit following the narrative that the media focuses upon and follow the money. This is the Liberal Establishment’s campaign to cause disruption to sway public opinion against their enemies—which happen to include the President and the weak-kneed Republicans in Congress. Liberals have lost momentum and hope in moving their agenda legislatively so they are literally taking it to the streets. This is their temper tantrum for losing in November.  It’s the same rent-a-mob with new lipstick. This has been part of their stock playbook for decades.

Detrick has been fooled by the media narrative and is accepting it as true. Given that, he is lost.

He also states: “Here in Elk Grove, we make it clear that those that espouse violence and genocide against African Americans, Muslims, Sikhs, Latinos, Asians, the Jewish community, LGBTQ or any other community are not welcome in our city nor anywhere in our nation.”

Steve where are you when the US Government, the State of California, the Muslims, and LGBTQ folks are attacking me and my family? You’re pretty damn silent about that. I know in a state where Hillary won by a landslide that there’s no upside for you defending Trump but you once claimed to be a Republican. A stand on principle instead of pragmatism would make me happier that you are representing me.

Like most people, Detrick’s analysis of this issue is like explaining why he just lost playing Three Card Monte. He’s looking at the wrong thing and thinks he’s seeing the big picture. Thankfully, others see human behavior with more clarity. John MacArthur nails the real issue here. He simultaneously explains Gen X, Gen Y, and the Snowflake crowd. His explanation has the precision of a military sniper and the Truth of what he says is so devastating that nothing can stand up to it. Plus it applies the same standard to both sides, something sorely lacking in the current discussion.

This is spiritual problem not a political one.

That’s not what’s going on there in Charlottesville or any of these other demonstrations. This is the wretched fallen human heart feeling like it can rise to any level that is not completely controlled. And let me tell you what gets you there.

Number one, the human heart is evil, war is in the heart, men will kill—that’s how they function. But God has built three restraints into society. Restraint number one is in the individual and it’s the conscience. But the conscience reacts to moral law. So if you have a whole generation of young people that have been taught a twisted perverted inverted upside down and backwards moral law, then their conscience can’t function. The conscience is simply a recognition mechanism that says that’s wrong, that’s right—that excuses and accuses. But it can only function where there’s a sound moral law written in the heart. So you have a whole generation of these people, of this generation, who have had a totally perverted sense of what morality is. And the dominant part of this new morality is, “I’m the most important person in the world, it’s all about me.” It’s the selfie culture. So conscience is now crippled.

Secondly, God put fathers and mothers in a family to bring a rod to discipline people in order to subdue their evil. If the family is destroyed and the family breaks down then you have no control over those people.

So conscience can’t function because the moral law has been literally destroyed. Families don’t function, so there is no discipline learned, there’s no sense of what is right, what is acceptable behavior. And the only institution left that God ordained was the police. Police were given a sword to subdue those who do evil. When you assault the police long enough that you diminish their authority and the sense of fear and the sense of reverence that a society has to have for those who police them, then all hell will break loose.

Conscience isn’t functioning, family is not functioning, and the police have been stripped of their powers in the social consciousness. You literally have unleashed the human heart at its worst level.

This is not about race, and this is not about what happened in America in the past. No one can tolerate white supremacists; no one can tolerate the Ku Klux Klan. …That is just one manifestation of the evil of the human heart. And we have only begun to see it once it’s unleashed. And it’s going to start coming in all kinds of forms because of the breakdown of moral law, the breakdown of the conscience, the breakdown of the family, and because of the incessant assaults on governing authorities. So get ready. I don’t think it’s going away.

Hanging Chad Mayes

Six weeks after California Republican minority leader Chad Mayes and six other Republicans sold-out their principles and voted for an extension to Arnold Schwarzenegger ’s AB-32 Cap-and-Trade bill, Mayes is finally out as minority leader.

Six weeks after helping Democrats revamp California’s landmark climate change policy and facing a torrent of anger from conservative critics, the Republican leader of the state Assembly agreed Thursday to step down…

Rancor over Mayes’ leadership began last month, when the Yucca Valley assemblyman aligned with Democratic state lawmakers and Gov. Jerry Brown to extend the cap-and-trade program…

Mayes’ ouster was the first political consequence since the vote July 17 to extend the cap-and-trade program. Republicans are worried that others in their caucus who voted for the extension may face backlash at the polls in the next election.

Chad Mayes—another failed Republican Leader

had Mayes is replaced by Brian Dahle as Assembly Republican leader

Despite the objections of those in the State Party (CAGOP) loyal to Charles Munger Jr., the State Board voted to call for the ouster of Mayes last week-end.

The Sith Lord postulated that in addition to being stupid, Mayes vote in favor of AB-32 was hurting Republican fundraising efforts and that’s no surprise.

Mayes did survive an attempt to replace him as minority leader earlier this week and was able to defer the meeting until next week. At the time, it appeared that Mayes would likely survive the vote—especially since no clear leader was on deck to replace him; however, today he has stepped down to be replaced by Brian Dahle. Dahle reportedly called Mayes on Wednesday night and informed him that he had the thirteen votes necessary to win a vote to replace Mayes.

Meanwhile Mayes’ website still describes him as a “governing conservative”, “Republican leader”, and “…passionate about…reducing poverty through education, job creation, and economic expansion.”

All the above claims are contradicted by his vote to extend this revenue scheme based on junk science. Taxing the poor to eliminate poverty is tyranny not compassion.

Chad Mayes is clearly cut from the same cloth as Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell. He may have had good intentions when he went to Sacramento but he was seduced by the Dark Side because he either lacked principle or never really believed what he said to get elected. Either way he is a fool and stooge.

Oh, lastly, why are the other six traitors getting a pass on their votes?
