Esophageal Cancer: When the Grim Reaper Darkens Your Door Part I

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” Hebrews 9:27

Yep, we merrily go along living our lives and suddenly, everything comes crashing down. That is the place that my family is in now. I always knew that our plan to exit California would be contingent on certain things happening or not happening—making allowances for elderly parents was what I had in mind—but the unexpected and unanticipated happened from another vector altogether. You see my wife has esophageal cancer.

Unlike my experience with skin cancer, cutting it out and stitching up the hole won’t work on this one.

Nope, by the time you have symptoms, you’re probably hosed.

Here’s some quotes from research that I did.

Unfortunately, most esophageal cancers do not cause symptoms until they have reached an advanced stage, when they are harder to treat.

Trouble swallowing
The most common symptom of esophageal cancer is a problem swallowing (called dysphagia). It can feel like the food is stuck in the throat or chest, and can even cause someone to choke on their food. This is often mild when it starts, and then gets worse over time as the cancer grows and the opening inside the esophagus gets smaller.

When swallowing becomes harder, people often change their diet and eating habits without realizing it. They take smaller bites and chew their food more carefully and slowly. As the cancer grows larger, the problem can get worse. People then might start eating softer foods that can pass through the esophagus more easily. They might avoid bread and meat, since these foods typically get stuck.

Signs and Symptoms of Esophageal Cancer

The 5-year survival rate for esophageal cancer is alarmingly low.

It’s essentially a death sentence. Just HOW does esophageal cancer cause death?

The 10-year survival rate of this cruel disease is virtually zero, says Alex Little, MD, a thoracic surgeon with a special interest in esophageal and lung cancer, and clinical professor at the University of Arizona.

That’s because almost always, it’s discovered after it’s already spread.

Furthermore, esophageal cancer grows and spreads quickly.

How does esophageal cancer eventually kill a person?

There are two types of esophageal cancer, each with different risk factors:

Adenocarcinoma
Cancers that start in gland cells at the bottom of the esophagus are called adenocarcinomas. This type of cancer is the most common esophageal cancer. It usually occurs closer to the stomach. Chronic acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett’s esophagus and chronic heartburn can increase your risk of developing adenocarcinoma esophageal cancer.

Esophageal Cancer

Per Dr. Fauci’s agency are these Esophageal Cancer Facts

5-year survival rate 19.9 %
1 % of all new cancer cases
2.6 % of all cancer deaths

In 2021, it is estimated that there will be 19,260 new cases of esophageal cancer and an estimated 15,530 people will die of this disease.

Cancer Stat Facts: Esophageal Cancer

Oh, sorry you woke people but race and gender matter with this cancer.

Among 2025 patients, 87.9% were White and 12.1% were Nonwhite. Median survival was 18.7 months for Whites vs 13.8 months for Nonwhites (p = 0.01).

Survival Disparities by Race and Ethnicity in Early Esophageal Cancer

According to the American Cancer Society, the percentages of people who live for at least five years after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer (taking into account that some people with esophageal cancer will have other causes of death) is 43% for localized cancer to the esophagus, 23% for cancer that has spread regionally, and 5% with distant cancer spread.

Esophageal Cancer

The male to female ratio of the esophageal cancer incidence is 3:1.

I grant that I tend to be the cup half empty kind of guy, but can you blame me after reading the above?

Meanwhile my wife leans to the unicorns and rainbows end of the spectrum, but she too is making preliminary plans to make radical changes in her life. In fact after I wrote a draft of this post, she got the biopsy results and 20 minutes later quit her job.

We had plans to do other things but right now they are on hold. Folks we could use some prayers for a whole host of decisions that we are expected to make in a very short amount of time. Whether God heals my wife or not, is up to Him. My biggest concern is for our teenaged son.

For more information, here are two videos for your consideration. In the first video, Christine talks about her diagnosis of esophageal cancer. The second video is an announcement of her death five months after her original diagnosis. Oh, Christine was 34 years old. Sobering stuff.

The Covid Conundrum

You may have heard the rumors, but there is no sense is letting them continue unchecked.  I have Covid-19.  While I was not tested to confirm, there is no point.  Friday night I went to bed with a “feeling of nausea” and woke up Saturday morning in a world of hurt.  In essence making it from the bed to the toilet had me completely winded, I had no appetite, actually since Saturday morning I have eaten a grand total of 2 Oreo cookies, and sipped on water.  My head feels like a vice is squeezing it, and I alternate between fever and the chills based on whether or not the ceiling fan above my bed in on or not.  I get the sweats simply standing up.  My body aches all over, almost like I took some sort of medieval torture.  My cough is a barking cough that leaves me reaching for cough syrup with each unproductive expellatory breath.  Nyquil has become my best friend, since I have zero energy all I can do is sleep.  When I waken, or as I put it, when the NyQuil runs out, I simply roll over, turn the pillow around and poof I’m out like a newborn.

Johnnie Does Nyquil

I still have a sense of smell and taste, so you’re asking how I know I have Covid 19?  Simple, and it never had to happen, honestly while I won’t do it, my legal partner has told me to look into potential OSHA violations relating to this disease.

Blogger Note: Identities and locations are being changed as to prevent any additional “C&D letters from lawyers who work on Sunday evenings.”

On Saturday last week the office partner of Johnnie Does returned from a trip to Washington State.  He came into the office at the beginning of the work week and was coughing and hacking like crazy.  He was double vaccinated (Moderna) so it didn’t matter that he was sick, it wasn’t Covid.  This continued. On Wednesday I asked him to get tested. He moved at a glacial pace.  He kept saying there are no clinics to get tested.  This is a lie, I found a ton with a cursory Google search, including 2 literally walking distance from here.  Thursday he finally set an appointment up, for Friday no less.  His cough was worse, he had a fever, the chills and no appetite.  Finally, Friday came, and he went and got tested.  He returned saying, he was positive.  He went to his office, and then proceeded to go down the hallway to get the mail, and to make a run to Panda Express for lunch!  Yes, you read that correctly.  Mask less, because he was vaccinated.

Panda Express the proven choice of vaccinated super spreaders.

Friday night I get the symptoms described above; all of them.

Do not get me wrong, I feel we will all get Covid one way or another and maybe Rick Santelli of CNBC was on to something saying we should just get it over with.  My beef is why I deserved to get treated like this.  The office is small it’s a 3-man weave, mostly though its 2 of us.  Anything breaching the office door gets passed around.  I am now a statistic, more so, I am an innocent bystander, no more than collateral damage in someone’s arcane game of life.  He wasn’t even working the week he returned. He spend the time sleeping and ignoring the calls of anyone who called.  This could have been done from home, but let’s not make this about me.  Let’s take a step back and look at the others I may have harmed, depending on when I became contagious.

Thursday, I have a group meeting of about 35 guys who are all 70 plus, we remanence and shoot the… (you know what).  This group is highly likely to die of Covid according to Fauci.  My own parents, I spent all of Friday with them, both are immunocompromised after bouts with cancer.  Ditto according to Fauci.

This is why this virus is spreading. Stupid people who have no regard for others.  The office was a petri dish, and I was going to be infected, no way around it.  My doctor is aware, and we are monitoring my situation daily, and sometimes hour by hour, as being hard to breath and getting winded is not easy.  I feel as if I will pull through just fine, but it could be a tough couple of weeks.  Sadly, I was informed by my doctor I might suffer permanent organ damage as a result of this lab created virus. This would be a real shame. Working out and being active is a major part of my life and frankly I do not know what will happen to me if I lose that.  Demons in my past may reappear.  Hoping for a good outcome but I think this one may be bumpy.

Biden Administration Presses Veterans on Vaccine

Hi folks. I got this in the mail yesterday. This letter is frightening on a lot of levels. I wish to point out a few gems. The entire text appears below my comments.

1 Its Your Patriotic Duty to Get the Shot

We must once again ask you to volunteer to serve… It is time for this pandemic to be over and I ask for your help in protecting this Nation and completing the last part of this journey. Our greatest hope in defeating this deadly virus is for each of us to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

2 Every VA Hospital is a Vaccine Dispensary

VA is accepting all Veterans, regardless of whether they are enrolled or eligible to enroll in VHA health care, spouses and caregivers of Veterans, and CHAMPVA beneficiaries to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. We are offering walk-in clinics without an appointment to any Veteran, their spouse, and caregiver and we encourage you to come get your shot today.

Yep, the Veteran’s Administration, same great care as DMV only with needles and chocked full of employees with the same temperament as the legendary Dr. House.

Hugh Laurie a.k.a. Dr. House

3 Oh, After You Get the Jab Report Your Compliance to the Government

If you have received your COVID-19 vaccination outside of the VA system, please tell us so we can keep your health record up to date. You can either bring your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card to your next appointment, call your primary care team, or share with your primary care team by uploading an image of your vaccine card to your My HealtheVet account.

The letter concludes that if you love your family, your fellow veterans, your country, or your neighbor then get the shot.

Oh, and should anything go wrong, well the government kind of stopped tracking those statistics after Trump left office so you’re on your own. Additionally, this same government that is pressuring you to get the shot has indemnified themselves and Big Pharma from any liability and made it impossible for a paper trail to exist should anyone attempt to hold people accountable at a future date. At the same time, this same government that wants you to get the shot will deny you proven treatment drugs should you then get Covid.

As for the vaccine’s effectiveness, yesterday it was reported that 20 percent of new Covid cases in Los Angeles County are people that are fully vaccinated and 40 percent of Covid patients hospitalized in England are fully vaccinated. So, after you get the shot keep wearing a mask. Lastly, thanks for volunteering for the world’s largest DNA altering experiment in the history of the planet.

Only Republican’s Aren’t Getting the Vaccine!

Cable must have broken an extended family member of mine.  I do not know what is worse, him saying that only Republicans aren’t getting vaccinated or that he may actually believe this.  First of all, you cannot be more ignorant or out of touch, secondly this is flat not true.

First of all, what happened to “my body, my choice”?  Also, what happened to “this is a Trump vaccine, and we don’t support it”?  Well, to answer the first, my body, my choice is only true with abortions, the second…well the dead turned out and Biden won.  Now it’s his vaccine!

Let’s just delve into the vaccination stats on a state-by-state basis if you will.  Let’s start with California, since the World Headquarters of Reallyright.com is domiciled there.  This handy-dandy map I’m linking shows the percentage of folks fully vaccinated.

Vaccination Map captured 07-21-2021

CA checks in at 47% and change.  I’m no Rhoades Scholar, but GOP registration in CA is 23% not 53%.  Additionally, let’s delve into our home county, Sacramento.  Specifically, I will hone in on North Highlands, specifically 95660 zip code.

The County tool shows 40% as of this past weekend.  I pick on North Highlands as it has a very large black population, again, not GOP voters.  If you wish to get technical, the southernmost zip codes; the delta, Rio Vista, etc, show north of 70% inoculation, these are GOP areas.

My point here is this has nothing to do with party registration at all; it’s ignorant to think it does.  President Trump was more than willing to tout the vaccine, even getting the jab on live TV to prove its safety.  Joe Biden and others have made this political.  It breaks down multiple ways, as such Democrats cannot process it since liberalism is a brain disease.

First the older folks were/have been cooped up by their kids during the height of the lockdowns the shots bought their freedom, most older folks skew Republican.

Secondly the working folks who travel, they received the shot in large numbers since most places require it for you to fly anymore.  While you could produce a negative test, they likely would create more hoops to jump through.  Again, these are folks who work, so likely skewing heavily GOP here.

People who work in government buildings, this will be a mixed bag as rules still provide work from home options, this likely brings the average down, as if one works from home, he doesn’t interact with others.

Here are the problem areas.

Folks who are black; there is a heavy distrust in their government here when it comes to vaccinations.  I know several who vote Democrat (oh god the horror) who refuse to be vaccinated.  This is a very large Democrat voting bloc, don’t believe me, nut its true.

Folks who are Hispanic; same as above, but also add in the immigration issue.  This group tends to work extremely hard and can ill afford for a complication to take them out of commission for even a day or two.  Again, this group votes heavily Democrat.

This is not a blog to highlight racial tensions, it’s just to show how ignorant some folks are when it comes to vaccinations.  Personally, I would peg the figures like this.

Folks over 65: 80% or more are fully vaccinated
Folks over 55: 75% or more vaccinated
25-45 demographic: 20% or less.  Remember this group “can’t die from Covid” and aren’t likely to even get sick from it.
18-25:  Folks at a public college or university will skew the numbers higher, but I do not see high figures here either.

Stop racism, stop being ignorant.  It’s not just Republicans, stop politicizing a vaccine.

Chief

Editor’s Note: I agree with The Chief that blaming Trump is a lazy way of dealing with the vaccine issue but when only 10 percent of Biden supporters say they won’t get the shot, its safe for them to politicize the issue. The vaccine is worse than a placebo because it has unintended health effects which no one wants to acknowledge. Such as 40 percent of those hospitalized for Covid in Great Britain were vaccinated.

Really Shocking Covid News

Yep, more leaks in the official narrative on Covid-19 vaccines. This headline should really give you pause:

SHOCK REPORT: There Were More COVID-19 Vaccine Deaths Last Week in US than COVID-19 Deaths

The number of deaths linked to vaccines this year has absolutely skyrocketed. According to the CDC’s own data, in 2021 in the first 3 months, the VAERS website recorded over 1,750 deaths due to vaccines in the US.

Last week they were reporting 6,985 deaths, and this week that number jumped up 2,043 to 9,048.

That number is now at 9,195.

“The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) database contains information on unverified reports of adverse events (illnesses, health problems and/or symptoms) following immunization with US-licensed vaccines. Reports are accepted from anyone and can be submitted electronically at www.vaers.hhs.gov.”

There have been 411,931 adverse reactions reported to the vaccine.

Also, last week there were 1,505 COVID-19 deaths in the United States.

That means there were more Covid vaccine deaths in the United States last week than Covid deaths in the United States last week.

Please note that the statistics on the Covid-19 vaccine would be even worse but our government decided to no longer track most instances of “breakthrough cases”. Thus vaccinated people that get Covid are no longer being counted by the government unless they die and then only reluctantly.

The CDC stopped tracking most COVID-19 cases in vaccinated people. That makes it hard to know how dangerous Delta really is.

California is telling counties to report post-vaccination cases of COVID-19 only in people who are hospitalized or have died, a shift from earlier surveillance that included all so-called breakthrough infections regardless of severity. The move aligns the state with the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which stopped collecting nationwide data on mild or asymptomatic COVID-19 cases last month. Some infectious disease experts have said they are disappointed in the shifts. They said it’s important to pay close attention to how well the vaccines are working across the entire population, especially with new variants emerging in other parts of the world where the pandemic is still raging.

California won’t closely track every breakthrough case. Some experts call that smart

Oh, the reinstatement of masks here in Sacramento County is due to 101 cases of the milder Delta variant of Covid-19.

Please note that the news story indicates that vaccinated individuals must also wear masks. So, on the one hand health “experts” say that everyone should be vaccinated to be protected from Covid while at the same time these same “experts” are claiming that the vaccine doesn’t work, and people need to wear masks. Then you wonder why people like me think the vaccine is a scam. (From a moral perspective the vaccine is worse than that.)

Troll on the News-July 2021

L Brands to split into 2 companies: So L Brands which is the owner of Bath and Body Works as well as Victoria’s Secret has decided to split into 2 companies.  This move will happen in August.  They spent a lot of money on this, and the best those idiot bankers and consultants could come up with is a tax free spin off?  Wall Street Jargo like you read about.  I would have gone with “Lift and Separate” I mean isn’t that what Victoria’s Secret is famous for?

KC Chiefs Defensive End Frank Clark facing a felony gun charge in CA:  Give this guy an all-time award for stupidity, $105 million dollar contract, Super Bowl winner rolls around in a 1993 Toyota Tercel with an Uzi in his back seat.  So this Clark fella feels he needs to live in the hood, drive a ghetto car, and pack a semi-automatic machine gun on his person?  Secondly how did he get charged with a Felony gun charge in LA County?  Seriously in that County Capital Murder is punishable by a 2 minute timeout and no ice cream for dessert.  Clark my suggestion, go with the “I was headed to the ANTIFA/BLM riot down the road”, if nothing else AOC will bail you out of jail.

Atlanta Falcons linebacker Barkevious Mingo arrested on felony indecency sexual conduct with a child on July 8th:  First of all, I thought this Barkevious was a type of tree in California, second, I thought maybe this was like a tree disease in California, nope it’s just a skid mark on society’s underpants.  He is 30 so he has had a 7 year career in the league so basically he has enough money to “buy sex” yet he picks out a child. Clearly the rich and powerful miss Jeffery Epstein.

I will say this on these two: THE NFL IS BACK BABY!!!!!!

Deranged woman attacks McDonald’s workers in Ohio suburb after not mixing all 3 slushy flavors together for her.  Cherysse Cleveland attacked the manager and another employee after they refused to “mix all three slushy flavors into one cup.”  She actually ended up getting her ass beat by an employee and arrested and charged as well.  Dang, Cherrysse it’s a stupid $1.50 per slushie, what a rookie move to not just order all 3.  Also why not go to, I don’t know, a place famous for making your own slushy like 7/11?  We cannot post the video or I would provide additional commentary on what I saw.

  1.  The lady with the headset throwing the haymakers:  Total pro move, knowing you needed to keep working the drive thru headset whilst beating her a**.  Gotta be peak efficiency.
  2. Cherysse here folks shows us the female silverback in her natural habitat.
  3. CNN I heard was starting a GoFundMe for her legal fees.
  4. Have to admire the form on Cherrysse prior to getting handcuffed, she knew what to do, this wasn’t her first rodeo.
  5. Is it sad I was waiting for the zookeeper to be called in to tranquilize this animal?  Who beats up minimum wage workers over a stupid slushy?
  6. Wanna bet that Cherrysse isn’t working because she makes more on unemployment by staying home

Governor Newsom denies 21 oil drilling permits in Tulare County:  I want to congratulate our benevolent King on his latest decree, I love paying big $$$ for gas.  Makes me feel like a big shot…its ok I can afford it!  Seriously talk about Common Core Math at work, less supply must equal lower gas prices, right?  State Oil and Gas director Uduak-Joe Ntuk sent the letter and claimed it was in the “public health and safeties best interests to deny them.”  I thought the Russians were folks who loved Trump and the oil industry, guess this person didn’t get the memo.  We do not assume gender here at reallyright.com.  Secondly have either of you been to Tulare County?  It reeks of cow dung, public health from a couple more wells won’t matter much.

Bill Cosby released from jail:  Just in time for his Jell-O pudding pop with depends boy Biden!  BLM finally gets on of their own outta jail, may I suggest Bill Clinton replaces him?  Oh wait he was the first black president sorry Barack.

Steve Ballmer in rare form at a Clipper game:  The former Microsoft CEO and current Clippers owner did a wild celebration mid-way through the game.  Pictured is the move.  I’ll call it the double dick grab…wild move outta Ballmer.  Ballmer though is certifiably crazy, like a total lunatic.  Also has anyone every seen Ballmer and the Penguin from Batman Returns in the same room?  I think they are the same person.  #HeToo on this celebration.  By the way, I wonder what Clipper’s super fans Pat Sajak and Billy Crystal have to say about this!

In closing, that double grab thing, I want to experiment by doing it to Jen Anniston and Carli Lloyd, you two down?  I’ll call it the double D grab.

Steve Ballmer grabbing for a lifeline or something. Why ESPN calls this celebrating is disturbing .

Troll

Johnnie Does, you medium rare pink B***h first of all Carli is super-hot, secondly my mother provides me 3 square, nutritious meals a day, and I do not live in her basement, I call it “my place.”  Secondly I saw Jake the Snake the other week, and during his sermon he used props of a branch, an apple and said he forgot his last prop, so a live snake is out and about at your place.  Sleep with both eyes open hardo.

Why is Food so Expensive?

Well, that is not an easy question, and I certainly won’t have the answer after these messages from our advertisers.  The answer also certainly isn’t in that click bait article you found on Yahoo News.  Additionally, it won’t be on your cable debate show were a left and right pundit lock horns for a segment and both declare victory afterwards.  The answer is easy to see, but hard to explain.

We are suffering in the overall economy; you just cannot see it yet.

Sign at Elk Grove Chili’s

First of all, we have to go back to the “essential workers only economy” this started the issue.  If you were really an essential worker; food operations, manufacturing, grocery etc. type jobs you were required to come to work, no days off and usually mandatory overtime.  Ask any grocery store worker, or someone at a slaughterhouse, or who makes toilet paper/Clorox wipes.  These folks are burned out after doing that for a year, and rightfully so.  They need a break; some in these fields are even quitting their jobs or leaving their fields all together.  So, you have a slight shortage as folks are tired, I can’t blame them.

Next you have the supply/demand issue. As you may have forgotten, we closed down dine in, this essentially shut down food suppliers; think USFoods, Sysco and Restaurant Supply Co.  Contrary to public belief, manufacturing lines/plants aren’t convertible, meaning you can’t change the toilet paper from commercial grade 1-ply to household based 2-ply by flipping a switch.  Food service works the same way. The companies named earlier specialize in selling cases of food product to parks, restaurants, correction facilities and institutions, not a grocery store.  While most still would argue corporations are large enough, a company like Kraft can innovate on the fly, they can’t.  As a result, you had a supply chain meltdown, which is continuing to this day, as you can see with food prices. I will touch on that later.

The employment shortage is a massive issue right now.  Yes, it is 2 pronged; first of all, you have the aforementioned overworked employees.  Additionally, you have the workers who were laid off and collected the Trump/Biden extra money on top of unemployment.  You may notice I blame Trump. Yes, he signed it into law. I also believe he was given awful advice by his aides.  Either way, those folks are slowly coming back to work, but most are holding out since, well… its free extra money and the American Dream—according to the Democrats—is living at home and being paid not to work.  This creates a far bigger problem than any other factor so far mentioned in this blog post.

The issue at hand is that experienced workers are not reporting back. You may not believe it, but a waiter doesn’t get their start at The Capital Grill Steakhouse, they get it at a local diner or short order chain restaurant.  As a result, the top tier chains are having an impossible time finding help, leading to bigger issues down line.  Just today I went to Chili’s. The place was 100% open, but the staff was non-existent, the bartender was also waiting all tables in the bar area, as well as cleaning!  The lack of experience showed, but I cannot blame her, she doesn’t have help.  I saw other folks giving her an earful, several of which were old enough to know better.  The place had at least 3 signs that I counted, they are desperate for workers.

Which brings me full circle.  The businesses now have to pay very high starting wages to low skilled workers.  I saw a McDonalds speaker box advertising $17.50 an hour starting pay.  A McDonalds, in a city of 175,000.  That is likely the person working the till, what do you pay the line cook?  Fry cook?  Assistant manager and Manager?  Are we going to see $85K a year managing a McDonalds in the suburbs?  In reality, the wages are necessary as one must coax the folks at home on the sofa watching daytime TV to get back to work.  Which means you must beat Uncle Sam’s $300 a week kicker to your paycheck.  As a result of this, you see price increases that are only going to get worse.  You see, most businesses hedge on food expenses meaning they lock into a long-term deal, at a fixed price.  Well, “Force Majeure” is a fancy term for an event outside of your control that allows you to cancel a contract and get out of it.  Due to Covid, suppliers invoked this contract clause. You didn’t really feel it at first since it was only grocery stores loading up on food.  Now we see businesses re-opening trying to load up on goods as well.  We haven’t even really seen the return of concerts, weddings or the like yet.  These put upward pressure on food.  A lack of workers puts upward pressure on wages, which increases food costs.

Think of it this way, Slaughterhouse USA can process 10,000 burgers in a day.  That is not problem when they are selling to grocery clients, and a few restaurants doing mostly take out.  When demand picks up, they can still only produce 10,000 patties, so now the grocer, the takeout business which is ramping up, the fine dining business, and others are bidding for the 10,000 patties.  But my slaughterhouse is short workers who want to vacation/quit/breaks, so now I’m under pressure to produce 10,000 patties a day.  A tall order when there are only about 4 producers of beef in the economy, this was due to merger and acquisition activity.  Now due to a supply, demand, and labor shortage, price inflation is nuts.  Don’t believe me, a friend who is a big shot at a food supply company told me he can’t believe what he is seeing, and says it’s going to get worse.  Consider this a lesson as to why the 90-day calendar does not allow for any deviation from the mean from business.  We saw this coming, and couldn’t keep up, as a result we will pay the price.

The first solution is re-open fully, the second is eliminate the extra unemployment kicker, then we must normalize the labor market and try to get the supply chain under control.  That will be a tall order for President Depends, Joe Biden.  Biden seems more enthralled with going door to door and finding out whether folks have gotten the vaccine than doing anything to help the country.

When the Boughs Break

When I was kid, I recall many clergy saying from the pulpit that if we didn’t repent that God was going to judge us. A few argued that it was already too late, and we were under God’s judgment. 45 years later, what do you think?

To anybody willing to look at the evidence for more than a few seconds, clearly, we are well down the road of that judgment. To me the irony is that the clergy are silent on the subject that a nation can ever sin enough to be held to account. For that matter, ditto for individual actions. Steve Taylor’s question again appears in my writings, “Whatever happened to sin?”

As a different proof, look at the hostility toward churches, especially in states ruled by Democrats. Folks when strip clubs have more rights than your church, people should be alarmed. Strip clubs essential, churches non-essential anyone? However, for the most part the reaction of so-called Christian leaders was a collective yawn. In fact, as I’ve pointed out before, when Pope Fauci or Newsom or whoever is the socialist leader in your area claiming Lordship over the flocks of Jesus Christ told churches to quit meeting, almost to a man, all the clergy capitulated.

Another topic that I have commented on in the past is the amount of young people forsaking the faith of their fathers and falling headlong into the abyss of Satan. At least Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of soup, today’s young people forsake their birthright for nothing; for them their faith has no value. In their world, slavery is freedom.

On days like today, when I celebrate our nation’s Independence Day, I call things like the above to my remembrance. I wasn’t going to blog at all today on this or any other subject but when I read today’s installment of Days of Praise then I felt the need to share it with my readers. Before I continue, I need to explain what Days of Praise is.

Days of Praise is a daily devotional from the Institute for Creation Research (ICR). ICR was originally based in the San Diego area, but like so much else in California, it moved to Texas. Days of Praise is a daily dive into a topic of theology or faith delivered right to your email box. The one today was a real zinger.

When the Boughs Break

When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favor.” (Isaiah 27:11)

Like a mighty tree towering over the forest, God raises up a mighty nation from time to time, with a great leader, to accomplish some purpose in the divine plan. He “hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation” (Acts 17:26).

But when that nation and its leaders become proud, and its people become lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, it becomes like a tree whose branches wither and whose core becomes riddled with insect-caused decay. Finally, the boughs break, the kingdom will fall, and down will come that nation, its leaders and all!

That happened even to God’s chosen nation, Israel, though only for a time, since God’s promises cannot fail. One after another, the mighty nations that God used to chastise His wayward people—Egypt, Assyria, Babylonia, Rome, etc.—have in turn been judged for their own rebellion against the God who “made them” and “formed them.” God has warned that “the wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God” (Psalm 9:17).

Is that about to happen to our beloved USA as well? The signs of self-seeking power and pride among our leaders and moral decay and spiritual rebellion among our people are widespread and growing worse. Our prayer should be that of the ancient prophet. “O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years,…in wrath remember mercy” (Habakkuk 3:2). “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” (Psalm 85:6). HMM

Since we’re on the topic of judgment, I need to refer you to Deuteronomy Chapter 28. Start with verse 15 and keep reading.

One of God’s judgments is drought.

And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. (v 23 & 24).

Please note that the cause is not climate change or global warming but the immoral behavior of evil men.

Oh, cable TV and 90-Day Guy are there too:

The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. (v 28 & 29).

This explains Covid-19 better than Dr. Fauci can.

Oh, once you’ve read about all the plagues in this chapter, I have a sobering article about how the Covid vaccine is going to bite you in the butt in about 15 years. This article goes right along with both topics. Don’t get the vaccine. More on why in a future post. However, if you think you can inject an experimental serum derived from the corpses of freshly murdered children into your body without moral, ethical, or physical repercussions then it’s already too late for you.

Johnnie Does: The Hungry Pecker Brewery

We are back in business!  Folks we had to wait an agonizing few days prior to our benevolent king Gavin Newsom reopening the state, but we are back to doing restaurant reviews.

AmbianceHungry Pecker opened about 9 months or so ago “allegedly” since all bars were ordered closed by King Newsom.  The place is an old warehouse I think they used to refurbish hot tubs out of it.  However, it was very nice inside, they had a few seating tables, a high-top bar area, and a separate room where the beer making process is located.  They also had ample outdoor seating.  This seems like a cool place to grab a cold one with the fellas after work.  While the outside could use a little fixing up, I call it a work in progress, and I give a slight pass.  4.3/5

Drinks:  They had about 8 beers on tap, with typical varying alcohol amounts.  A couple took the names of local streets in Elk Grove.  I tried, I believe it was called the Porto Rosa Porter, it’s about 8% alcohol and it was quite good.

Johnnie Does Sr. had a light beer, he felt the same, even ordering a second.  I would give it a 4.5. Just a note, I am not a drinker, basically gave it up years ago, I’ll have a cold one with my father every so often, but I choose to “hoof it home” as the kids say.

Overall: It’s a cool local joint, has some potential… quite a bit actually.  I would argue between this joint, Waterman Brewing Company, Tilted Mash, and Flatland–just to name a few–my home zip code is more than covered with local brew pubs.  I seriously would wonder about cannibalization.

My overall grade will look bad, and this is not the intention, but man a couple things need to get cleaned up here…. badly…..and pronto.  First, the bartender gal (likely owners’ daughter, wife) had a “what do you want” attitude rather than a “welcome in” one.  This was largely off putting, and she couldn’t be bothered to explain the drinks to us.  We only asked about which beers are lighter vs darker.  She served us and pointed to a couple tables over yonder.  She came by later to check on us and lamented the very sparse crowd for a Saturday at 6pm.  She said they had tried everything, axe throwing, corn hole, and even have BBQ here every Saturday, nothing has been working.  Might be due to having no atmosphere and very little in the way of customer experiences.  In many ways this reminded me of a fundraiser bar for a crab feed.  What do you want?  Ok, here ya go.  NEXT!  1.5/5  Gotta get this turned around quickly.

Bonus Review: JP B QUE located in the Hungry Pecker as a food option.  It’s an Indy BBQ guy, who judging by his size, looks like he loves his own cooking.  He had menus out on the tables and had a buffet type set up outside.  I was actually looking for some decent BBQ. Had a taste for it.  There was no BBQ, smoker, or grill anywhere to be found.  Odd, since, well half the experience is the smell trying to draw you in or make you crave BBQ.  Weirder yet as the owner walked to the restroom right near us; he said under his breath “Its leftover from an event earlier today”.  Yikes 0/5 avoid this place like the black plague!  This is not a surprise as most “mobile” operations do this, rather than cook fresh they offer to re-heat after taking the leftovers from another gathering.  This is a dangerous practice, first it was quite hot outside, and the pans were half covered.  This causes very serious food borne illness bacteria to form.  As much as I hate to say this, JP B Que will never get another look from this reviewer.  Quite frankly I do not think the owner fully understood what he was doing. He could get folks extremely sick.

Proof JP has a grill even if you don’t see it at Hungry Pecker

Full disclosure:  I have seen a smoker out there on the patio before, not sure why he changed it up this day.  But Yikes.

P.S. I saw the attempted clean shot by the “Troll” calling me a waste of time and resources on this news site, well let me fire a clean shot at him.  Dear Troll: maybe Jake the Snake would like to discuss “Thou shalt not commit adultery” with you, as you seem to love a married woman, Carli Lloyd.  Stick to what you do best; namely, ogling celebrities in your basement and cranking out 1 blog a month when your mom’s not home.

Democrats Continue to Prove being First is all that Matters

In what passes for journalism and reporting in the 24/7 news cycle, it doesn’t matter if you are right, it matters if you report it first.  Don’t believe me?  Just watch the local or even major news networks as they stumble over each other to be “first.”  They do not care about the truth as long as they can strike first blood in the ratings war. If they are wrong, they will ignore it, brush it under the table, blame an anonymous “source,” or issue a retraction several days later on the page where the obituaries are listed.  Ironic as those listed in that section are brand new Democrat voters!

Now to the story which prompted my ire.  On June 19th in Wilton Manor (Ft Lauderdale) the Stonewall Democrats (a far left LBGTQIAHSUHNCKMAHNXLANAETS 1 issue club) had their annual Pride Parade.  Present were Congressperson Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Ft Lauderdale mayor Dean Trantalis.  The parade was a typical one, floats, bands, walking, etc.  The procession was about to begin when a white pickup truck rammed into the waiting participants killing 1 and injuring 2.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz

All would agree this is a tragedy, now to my point….. Trantalis, like most Democrats, are far superior to the unwashed so he decided to run to the press with this statement.

“This is a terrorist attack against the LGBT community,” Trantalis told Local 10 News. “This is exactly what it is. Hardly an accident. It was deliberate, it was premeditated, and it was targeted against a specific person. Luckily they missed that person, but unfortunately, they hit two other people.”

Tragedy Strikes Wilton Manors Pride – Story Still Unfolding

Of course, the folks at MSNBC ran with it.  I happened to see their report while paying a visit to a local gym. The narrative quickly turned into a white male driver (this part was true) Trump supporter who hates gay rights rammed the parade.  Only things left out were “MAGA hat wearing, AR-15 holding, male making out with wife, mows down pride parade participants.”  Wasserman-Schultz was devastated, the parade was cancelled.  It wasn’t until the following day when things got a little more clear.  The man driving the car was a white male, 77-year-old Fred Johnson Jr. His truck emblazoned with a rainbow-colored pride flag flying from it.  MSNBC doctored the photo to not show the flag; remember it’s about optics and a narrative, truth before facts folks.  Johnson Jr. was later shown wearing a pride shirt and was identified as “one of us” by members of the gay man’s chorus.  Johnson Jr. has a handicap, so he was chosen to drive for the parade.  Maybe not such a great idea looking back on it?

Once the facts started leaking out, the Democrat media machine took over.  This was much ado about nothing, and an unfortunate accident.  The police began to investigate, I find this odd since police types are generally not allowed near Democrat events…oh wait it as a white man who did the deed…proceed!  The men’s chorus even put out this statement, because well … it was just an unfortunate thing.

“This was a horrible accident,” he said. “I offer my sincere regret to those who were impacted. I love my chorus family and the community. I would never do anything to intentionally harm anyone.”

Trantalis issued a kind of apology, mostly just walking it back slightly, and now it’s all a non-story.  Mostly because it doesn’t fit the narrative any longer.  Why beat on one of their own, it’s more fun to do it to the other side.  End of story.  Anyone wonder why the ratings for left leaning news, and readership of daily newspapers are falling fast?  There is your answer.

Let me now offer my “first take” on this story, and if I’m wrong, we may or may not issue a retraction, but if the libs can do it, I will too.

Far left deranged, whacko, white, male, Fred Johnson Jr. fled his old person home, revved up his truck, overdosed on opioids, and rammed a far-left demonstration.  Johnson was unhappy about his role in the gay man’s chorus and decided he had enough.  He rammed 5 innocent folks, killing 1, seriously injuring four.  He was aiming for the mayor and congresswomen but like most Democrats, his aim was horrific.  Johnson, for his part, admitted being gay afterwards, but everyone knows that’s just a lie.  His actions led to a far-right militia of folks to show up with lights flashing and the words “police” inscribed on their cars.  Thankfully no black or brown folks were around as massacre would have taken place.

Johnson must be held accountable for his actions.  As a white man, this was a hate crime, and it took place on June 19, the new federal holiday to celebrate Juneteenth, as a result he must hate black people.  Sentence him to death ASAP, no trial, no counsel to be provided.  This deranged human must be wiped from earth.  Also, Johnson Jr. needs to pay reparations for what he did, on Juneteenth mind you!
