I know the election cycle is just getting organized for most political races lower down on the ticket, but even before the filing deadline for the June Primary Election, I am getting tired of RINOs invoking the claim that they are Reagan Republicans. The most recent example that I saw was earlier this week when…

Misc Comments on My Trip Thus Far
I’m about ten days into this trip. Here are a few observations thus far. Getting a visa extension to stay here was easy. The hardest part was the demand that payment be made in cash. The cost was just north of 4,000 pesos ($66). I needed to complete a form, pay a fee, and then…

A convicted rapist sentenced to three life terms plus 51 years in prison has been arrested in Sacramento County for a parole violation, four years after his release. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said 47-year-old Lloyd Edwards was detained Thursday during a parole compliance check by the office’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Task Force Team.…

Folks, I just can’t catch a break. I was minding my own business, as best I can at the church Bible study last night and presto, yet another time when we as modern Christians can’t let the Bible define terms but have to project stuff into the text that it plainly never says. The study…

Christmas is over. The children have returned from whence they came. This was likely the last Christmas with their mom. In a sense it might be hard to grasp because mom cooked for them and was her usual bubbly self, but lacking the energy to go at full speed all the time. To me their…

Another batch of procedures, another post. The main event this week was a probe being sent down my wife’s throat to check out her esophagus. The opening at the top of her esophagus is now a whopping 5 millimeters in diameter. The doctor was able to dilate the opening slightly, but this measurement is much…

Well, the big PET scan and meeting with the oncologist finally happened. It was somewhat of a letdown. The cancer, of course, looks to be still present (or the damaged tissue from it) but the tumors have shrunk. Her ability to breathe is improved but eating anything solid at this point is just not possible.…
